Texelis has been recently selected to provide Indonesian vehicle designer and manufacturer PT Sentra Surya Ekajaya (PT SSE) with complete kits of its Celeris 4×4 mobility solution, as well as a complete development and support package to customise the Celeris solution for PT SSE’s needs, the French company announced on 15 February 2024.

PT SSE specialises in designing, engineering and manufacturing a range of 4×4 special mission vehicles.

Under their partnership agreement Texelis will deliver the first Celeris kits to PT SSE in the first half of 2024. With Texelis’ support, these will be integrated into the first prototypes before the end of year. Deliveries of the remaining series of kits will then take place in 2025.

Texelis did not specify how many Celeris kits would be procured.

“The new contract for Celeris is also an opportunity for Texelis and PT SSE to grow together as a supplier of mobility and a complete systems integrator and learn from that experience to implement new partnership initiatives throughout the programme,” Texelis stated in a press release. “Celeris will also benefit from the feedback and experience from its users in Indonesia, and evolve during its whole life cycle to constantly adapt to the users’ requirements and operational missions.”

France and Indonesia have had a strong defence relationship for some years, with Texelis stating that its co-operation with PT SEE has been fully supported by the French and Indonesian authorities, including the French defence mission at the country’s Embassy in Jakarta. The French Land Defence and Security Industry Association (Groupement des Industries Françaises de Défense et de Sécurité terrestres et aéroterrestres – GICAT) has also provided its support.
